We are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, with strong performances across a range of subjects and a significant proportion of top grades achieved. This year's results reflect the hard work, determination and ambition of students, supported by the dedication of staff and families throughout their education.
A total of 79.2% of students achieved five standard passes (grade 4 or above) including English and Mathematics, while 64.2% secured five strong passes (grade 5 or above) including English and Mathematics. We have also seen a particularly impressive number of higher grades, with 34% of all GCSEs awarded at grade 7 or above, significantly exceeding the current national average of 22%.

Among the many students celebrating their achievements was Charlotte, who achieved an exceptional eight grade 9s, three grade 8s and an A in Additional Mathematics.
Charlotte said: "I'm really relieved and so happy with my results, and looking forward to starting Sixth Form in September." She will continue her studies at Abbey Grange Sixth Form, taking A-levels in Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Simeon also enjoyed remarkable success, achieving grade 9s across the board. His achievement is made even more impressive by the fact that he has balanced his studies with competing as a triathlete at a high level. Simeon will remain at Abbey Grange Sixth Form to study A-levels in French, History, English Literature and Mathematics.

Another student celebrating success was Malaki, who secured passes in eight GCSEs, including grade 7s in Geography, Physical Education and English Language. Alongside his studies, Malaki has excelled in football, representing Manchester United Under-14s before joining Leeds United Under-16s. He has now secured a scholarship with Grimsby Town FC, where he will play for the club's Under-19 squad while continuing his studies.
Dawn Morgan, Principal of Abbey Grange Academy, said:
"We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our students, who have worked with ambition and resilience to secure their excellent results. Today's successes reflect not only their hard work, but also the dedication of our staff, who consistently go above and beyond to support every young person to achieve their potential.
"I would also like to thank families and carers for the encouragement, partnership and support they have provided throughout our students' journeys. Education is a team effort, and these achievements are the result of everyone working together to help our young people succeed.
"As our students take their next steps, we wish them every success in their chosen pathways. We are particularly looking forward to welcoming many of them back to Abbey Grange Sixth Form in September, where they will continue their academic journeys and prepare for exciting futures beyond school."
As celebrations continue across the academy, students are now preparing for the next stage of their education, training and careers, with many choosing to continue their studies at Abbey Grange Sixth Form.
The strong results reinforce Abbey Grange Academy's commitment to academic excellence and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their ambitions and progress confidently into the future.
