Dawn Morgan joined Abbey Grange in September 2023 as Vice Principal: Quality of Education. Dawn has been a Senior Leader in education for 17 years. Initially at Ilkley Grammar School where she was Assistant Headteacher responsible for Sixth Form and Alternative Provision. Dawn then took up post as Deputy Headteacher: Pastoral at King James’s School in Knaresborough where she had oversight of SEND; pastoral care, behaviour and safeguarding. Following this, Dawn returned to Bradford and worked as part of Beckfoot Trust’s Central Team working across ten schools with a wide school improvement portfolio including Sixth Form; assessment; SEND; Safeguarding and Quality of Education. Dawn was then seconded to one of Beckfoot Trust’s secondary schools as Senior Deputy and was a part of the team who secured a good Ofsted outcome for the school.
At Abbey Grange, Dawn’s role is to ensure that our students achieve their very best academically, spiritually and personally through learning experiences that challenge and enrich. She is passionate about inclusion and believes that high standards and great teaching are the bedrock of high-quality schools.
