Studying A Level Fashion and Textiles will equip you with an awareness and understanding of the nature and uses of fabrics and textile designs for fashion and interiors as well as gaining skills in garment construction, fabric manipulation and fabric decoration such as batik, screen printing, heat transfer printing, dye, stitch and embroidery.You will gain a real understanding of what it means to be a designer, alongside the knowledge and skills sought by higher education and employers. You will study the technical advances in the use of modern fabrics and technologies in fashion and the importance of branding and marketing fashion products along with learning about recent and past fashion designers and their influence on street fashion and culture.
