Teaching Assistant Level 1 Scale A1/B1 = £15,916 – £17,772 (Actual £9,814 - £10,958 for 27.5 hours) (pro rata’d as term time) Start date – September 2017 Abbey Grange Academy is a popular and consistently over-subscribed secondary school located in Leeds. The Academy uniform is worn with pride and staff are expected to reflect this by modelling high standards We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant – Level 1 to join our team of Teaching Assistants to work under the guidance of teaching / senior staff and within an agreed programme of supervision, to implement agreed work programs with individuals or groups, inside and outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will be required to work 27.5 hours term time only therefore the salary has been pro-rata’d. There may be a requirement to work outside of the designated hours and off Academy premises as required. Abbey Grange is part of the Abbey Multi Academy Trust. We wish to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic Food & Textile Technician with a “can do” approach to provide assistance and support in meeting the practical needs of the Food & Textiles curriculum to effectively support the teaching and learning of the Academy. This role will co-ordinate the use of the practical resources and facilities and will support staff and students, including the preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment as necessary. Relevant qualifications to the post would be desirable. The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with staff and students, have good organisational skills and an eye for details. The successful candidate will be required to work 32.25 hours term time although some flexibility may be required only therefore the salary has been pro-rata’d. There may be a requirement to work outside of the designated hours and off Academy premises as required.
