The Abbey Grange Parent Council was established in the 2014/15 academic year. The Council meet monthly during term time and act as a voice for the parent body as well as providing an important link between parents and the school. A member of the Parent Council will be available at each year PCE evening (except year 13 PCE). You can find us near the entrance or by the refreshments stand. You Said - we did “We don’t always feel that we know what’s going on – lack of day to day communication” Parent Council continuing to work on improving communication between parents and school. This continues to be an objective for the coming year “School dinners/ quality of food and length of time to queue” This issue has previously been raised with the senior leadership team. In response to this a food survey took place amongst students and some food items (for example type of bread served) have been changed in response. The queuing system has been altered and ‘food’ remains on the MAT’s radar and will be looked at again. “Use a bell at parents’ evenings” This was interpreted by PC to mean that parents may be concerned that the 5 minute slots are variable, or time not always adhered to. This has been passed to senior leadership team for discussion.
